What We Do

Emergency Treatment

You can call and talk to one of our experienced emergency veterinary staff members 24 hours a day. While we can’t diagnose medical conditions or give specific medical advice over the phone, we can help you assess the situation and determine the best course of action. This also helps us be prepared for your pet’s medical needs more quickly when you arrive at the hospital.

Advanced Imaging & Diagnostics

We’ve invested in the most current non-invasive diagnostic imaging equipment that helps us accurately and quickly diagnose your pet’s condition. ASECB offers the most comprehensive imaging services of any veterinary hospital in East Central Florida. Combined with our board-certified specialized procedures and skilled emergency veterinarians and technicians, ASECB is unmatched for the level of expertise and experience you need when your pet is ill.

Board Certified Neurologist

In order to provide our patients with the best care, we have a board-certified neurologist on staff to diagnose and treat common conditions including back and neck pain as well as more complicated neurological conditions such as brain abnormalities, spinal disorders, seizures, and neuromuscular diseases. Through the use of innovative technology, extensive training, and compassionate care, we’re able to help pets lead happier, healthier lives.

Board Certified Canine Rehabilitation

Physical rehabilitation is also very beneficial to help maintain good function for patients with chronic neurological disorders, chronic arthritis, weight problems, or other musculoskeletal disorders. The therapy is provided by a certified canine rehabilitation therapist and utilizes an underwater treadmill, cold laser, acupuncture, electro-stimulation, manual manipulation and other specific exercises.

Our dog Bella ingested some cooking oil and started vomiting this afternoon. We placed a call to the Animal Specialty & Emergency Center of Brevard. The receptionist I spoke to was calm and informative and recommended that we bring her in, as she could have pancreatitis. When we arrived we were immediately given a room and forms to fill out. They were pretty busy so it was about 30 minutes until we were seen. Dr. Jacqueline Serio and vet tech Aimee were both wonderful. They took their time and made both my husband and I comfortable. They also did their best to make Bella feel at ease and were so sweet with her. Dr. Serio answered all of our questions and helped us decide on the best course of action. She also took the time to look at a little bald spot on Bella’s side that had been worrying us. Overall, we were in and out in about an hour. We hope that we won’t need emergency vet services again, but if we do, the Animal Specialty & Emergency Center of Brevard would be our top choice.Kathryn B.
